U.S. Rubber Reclaiming, Inc. (USRR) is the major source of butyl rubber reclaim in the western hemisphere and is a single-source reclaimed butyl rubber supplier to most of the U.S. tire industry.

USRR and its predecessors have been engaged in reclaiming various scrap rubbers for over 100 years. Its current focus is butyl rubber reclaiming. Longtime customers include several Fortune 500 tire companies such as Michelin®, Continental/General®, and Goodyear®; a number of smaller tire manufacturers; inner tube manufacturers; and vendors of tape used for gas/oil pipe line wrap.

USRR operates a facility in Vicksburg, Mississippi, totaling nearly 87,000 square feet. Expansion during the 1990's, together with improved production efficiency, has allowed production capacity to grow to more than 2.2 million pounds per month, or more than 26 million pounds per year.

U.S. Rubber Reclaiming was acquired in 2001 by Obsidian Enterprises, a private holding company headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Obsidian invests in small- and mid-cap companies in basic industries such as manufacturing and transportation. Under Obsidian’s direction, USRR continues its tradition as a pioneer in the rubber reclaiming industry.
