Butyl reclaim is most often found as factory scrap or used inner tubes. Reclaimed butyl rubber has characteristics different from virgin butyl rubber. When mixed with virgin butyl, the resulting product becomes a superior compound for the inner lining of tubeless radial tires. Butyl reclaim is also used in tape, sealants and adhesives.
